  • Orchard

I really wanna work with these people at Orchard. The more i research, the more i find. One of them is a photographer and has her own org. too. Her instagram link is broken to the website, she is using something called pixieset. Never heard of it, but definitely can help her save some money there. BUT THE PHOTOS ARE SO GOOD! I guess I need to be humbled every once in a while. So much to learn. Another one has an art style of her own and can’t wait to learn that art style. I’m dreaming of the days to work with them already lol. The founder has worked on the company more than I have lived. God, I should apply. Maybe, make a webpage lol.

  • new starter?

i guess i just made a good starting point for api based login logout applications. so, fork it maybe? lol.

  • a fresh start

the previous project has been fully scrapped including the git repository. a fresh start indeed. going the laravel react way. removed because filament was too consuming and i just realized, “why do i even need filament for this project?”. i guess i was just mesmerized by the whole filament thingy but oh well. does not look like it’s production ready to be honest because so much was breaking when i was trying to implement it. anyways, the laravel basics for the json handling and react for the front end implementation.

  • links in json

apparently, you CAN implement JSON in Laravel and MySQL. i mean, have never used a JSON format in a MySQL database. Best of both worlds? i guess. hehe. but, if it works, it works. going forward with this architecture until it breaks and it becomes unscalable but i don’t think it will happen. can always shard the database as per geography or alphabetically and it should be fine since the JSON format consists of almost everything required!

  • roadblock gone

3 posts under a minute? hehe. Apparently route order was the issue. FIXED.

  • major roadblock?

so /login also goes to 404. hmmmmmmmmmmm

  • continuing

so, back after a break kind of in this mid-life? lol. so configured the redirection for /{username} to their respective link pages. let’s hope these work. just realized i have to make API for everything too. lots of work to go.

  • just a start

just wanted to have something for my own accountability. so starting this blog. planned out the barebone skeleton of the linking application. laravel framework is what i’m leaning towards for the full fledged support and ease of use and my general love towards the framework hehe. anyways, just a start for now.
